ONE DAY ITINERARY IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - DAY 1/2

Before I start, I just wanna say, some photos from this blog post is from my iPhone and may not have good quality, Some of my friends have been asking me about what are the places to see in Seattle, of course, with thorough (not really) research and friends’ recommendations, I have come to create the perfect Seattle destination itinerary in two days!

We started our journey early saturday morning, we decided to spend sunrise in Gasworks park, which according to Lake Union virtual museum is the world’s last remaining example of synthetic gas manufacturing plant. Although not much is known about this plantation because its record burned in the great Seattle fire of 1989.

Of course! What is this weather if I wouldn’t try to emote and remember all the heartbreaks I’ve had in the past, whether it be from the shows that I watch or in real life. haha.

This is the view of what is left from the old pipes of the plant, also, if you turn back and look behind you from this angle, sits Lake Union, that allows you to perfectly see Seattle’s skyline that literally took my breath away (bc of my lack of preparation for the cold and dry weather)

Didn’t I just said it took my breath away? I kid you not.

I just can’t get enough of how perfect the lighting was, so of course, I got to bring out the Asian in me, and feel my korean drama moment. lol

After being overwhelmed with the beauty of Gasworks park, we head over to the Troll under the bridge which is only 3-5minutes away. If you watch Once Upon a Time on ABC, they featured this in their pilot episode, that is why I wanted to see it.

You can skip this if you’re not a Netflixaholic like me. haha.

I have spent too much time watching TV series that is the reason why we had to stop by this next location, the University of Washington, Netflix recently released a docuseries about their alumnus, Ted Bundy.

Wala lang. I just felt like the weather would actually create a mysterious atmosphere, their campus’ architecture took me back in time and made me feel like I’m in Harvard or smart as students from Harvard. lol. It was rather eerie tho, to have walked the corridors and pathways as which a, or some killer have walked to and fro in the past, but just look at how beautiful the campus is and just imagine that vibe.

After touring around the UW, we stopped by Bruce Lee’s grave right across the church we were gonna go to, then we head down to Capitol Hills to grab some coffee, of course (see the rainbow crosswalks between Pike and Pine st. if my memory still serves me well) and a quick bite before we drive away from the city.

Try Seattle’s very own Dick’s Drive-In. They were still closed when we drove by.

If you’re someone who likes the wilderness, a quick drive from Seattle is Snoqualmie City, where the Twin Peak’s mystery TV show is filmed, its also the home of northwest’s railway museum. They’re also famous for the majestic Snoqualmie Falls. If you are equipped with waterproof hiking boots, windproof jackets and sure that you’re warm and healthy enough, I recommend hiking to the bottom of the falls and feel insignificant cause of its grandeur. You can download the ALL TRAILS APP for free, for the map and commentaries of may be avid hikers (this is not sponsored, but, you’re welcome!) but if you chose not to do that, worry not! bc this falls have a viewpoint deck that’s perfect for kids or grandparents!

Take the whole family with you! Here are some photos from the parking lot to the scenery. Have I not told you how I almost want to cry at first sight and feel of the Pacific Northwest? That happened again when I took these photos, especially with the fog effect and all. OMG. I was gonna die right there. huhu.

Its a good overwhelming feeling. Its the kind of moment you just want to seize and be in, forever.

Here are other photos of my photographer! I wanted to return the favor, I wish I could’ve done it better,

but I will be better!

It was just 12pm when all that happened, sooo I need more time to organize and go over which SD card has my files. teehee.
